Ali Chappell

Dr. Ali Chappell, Founder and CEO of Lilli Health, is on a mission to transform the landscape of women’s health by merging her personal experience with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) and over a decade of cutting-edge research.  Ali’s journey into the healthcare world began with her own diagnosis of PCOS during her undergraduate studies, sparking a pivotal moment, driving her to gain a deeper understanding of the intricacies of PCOS and insulin resistance.

She began her academic career at Texas A&M University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Sciences in 2009 f.Determined to learn more about her diagnosis, Chappell earned a Master of Science in Nutritional Sciences in 2011 from Texas Tech University, followed by a Ph.D. in Nutrition with a specialized focus on reproductive endocrinology in 2014. Her doctoral research at Texas Tech University was marked by a commitment to understanding the intricacies of PCOS and helping others who are unsure of how to navigate their own PCOS journey.

In 2015, Dr. Chappell further honed her expertise through a prestigious National Institute of Health (NIH) Postdoctoral Research Fellowship in Women’s Health at the University of Texas Medical Branch. There, she expanded her research into the complex connection  between nutrition, PCOS and insulin resistance, addressing a critical knowledge gap and aiming to develop comprehensive solutions for women living with the condition.

Chappell’s commitment to educating and empowering women led to the launch of Lilli Health, where she champions the Low Insulin Lifestyle (LILLI) - a science-backed approach to managing PCOS through nutrition and insulin management. In 2023, Chappell authored the book Low Insulin Lifestyle My Personal Journey with PCOS and the Science Behind a Low Insulin Lifestyle, where she shares her story alongside practical, evidence-based strategies for managing the condition..
